Electrical Earthing Systems Design Lead

The role of Electrical Earthing Systems Design Lead is pivotal in driving the development of electrical earthing and bonding system designs across various infrastructure projects. As a senior technical professional, you will lead the design and delivery of electrical systems while providing expert advice on installation, maintenance, and design best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of electrical earthing and bonding system designs for infrastructure projects.
  • Provide expert advice on installation, maintenance, and design best practices to ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Prepare high-quality technical documentation and make recommendations for system improvements.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, contractors, and clients to deliver project outcomes.
  • Manage design budgets, schedules, and resourcing to meet project timelines.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a strong technical culture within the team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • CPEng accreditation.
  • MTM Designer/Checker competency.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in the design and engineering of earthing and bonding systems.
  • Proficiency in CDEGS and electrical design software.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure sector standards and electrical safety principles.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team with solid project management and prioritisation capabilities.
