Job Title: Senior Construction Manager

About the Role:

This senior leadership position plays a pivotal role in overseeing the construction team, necessitating robust management and supervisory skills.

The Job Responsibilities Include:

  • To provide guidance and support to Estimator Supervisors, fostering their professional development and enhancing overall team performance.
  • To utilize expertise to direct teams in achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and monthly targets.
  • To develop scopes of work with accurate costings, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • To manage sub-contractors effectively, promoting partnerships that benefit all parties.
  • To maintain open communication channels with State Construction Managers and clients, addressing needs and concerns promptly.
  • To contribute to the financial sustainability of repairs by implementing cost control measures, balancing quality against budget constraints.
  • To foster a flexible work environment, promoting collaboration across multiple trades to optimize efficiency and minimize duplication.
  • To ensure adherence to relevant legislation, health and safety policies, and procedures, prioritizing employee well-being and regulatory compliance.
  • To deliver exceptional customer service, embodying company values through respectful, courteous, and polite interactions with internal and external stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Trade qualifications are highly desirable but not essential.
  • Able to develop and prioritize specific work activities and tasks, driving productivity and efficiency.
  • A solid understanding of insurance repairs is highly beneficial.
  • Proficient technology skills and the ability to learn new systems and software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, prioritizing workloads to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to diagnose and prioritize specific work activities and tasks.
  • An ambitious and proactive attitude towards work, embracing challenges and opportunities for growth.
  • A valid full driving license.
  • Cert IV or diploma in Building & Construction is highly desirable.
