Strategic Workforce Manager for Nuclear Submarine Build

We are seeking a skilled Strategic Workforce Manager to join our team in Adelaide, South Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the pioneering SSN AUKUS Build Program, delivering an essential sovereign capability for Australia.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement workforce plans to ensure the project team is adequately staffed with the right skills and expertise.
- Coordinate with HR and project managers to address staffing needs and gaps.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to workforce management, including potential staffing shortages and skill gaps.
- Manage the allocation of human resources to ensure optimal utilisation and efficiency.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, including project updates, workforce plans, and performance reports.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualification in HR, Project Management or equivalent.
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in a complex project environment at a Project Manager level (or equivalent), including at least five years demonstrated success in leading complex projects or portfolios.
- Professional certifications / memberships in AIPM.
- Demonstrated project management or workforce planning experience in strategic planning within a complex environment, preferably in defence.
- Experience and knowledge in supporting P&C/Workforce projects or substantive experience within Human Resources field.
- Exceptional customer service and written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate individuals and teams across several business areas, to shape outcomes and implement program requirements.
- Demonstrated capability to navigate through complexity and ambiguity.
- An ability to balance conflicting priorities to deliver against customer and business requirements, with appropriate stakeholder management.
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
