Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive finance professional to join our dynamic team. As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a key role in managing our financial operations, ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of our business.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable and receivable, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Operations: Manage the end-to-end financial function, from invoice processing and vendor management to debt collection and reconciliations.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist with journals, reconciliations, management reporting, and statutory compliance (BAS, GST, PAYG).
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate on automation, process reviews, and system enhancements, particularly with Oracle Cloud ERP experience.
  • Collaboration: Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve queries and deliver timely financial information.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Strong systems knowledge, including ERP systems (Oracle Cloud preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
  • A keen interest in process improvement, automation, and finance transformation projects.
  • Ability to adapt to change, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (CPA/CA qualified or studying towards accreditation desirable).
  • Eligibility to hold a Blue Card.
