Drug and Alcohol Clinician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Drug and Alcohol Clinician to provide evidence-based therapeutic drug and alcohol interventions to patients in a custodial setting. This role involves the planning and delivery of CBT based group programs, as well as supporting the delivery of best practice brief interventions within a clinical setting.

The ideal candidate will have professional judgment to solve routine problems and guide the implementation of Drug and Alcohol therapeutic programs at in correctional centre. The position will also assist in the development of relevant procedures and standards for the Drug and Alcohol therapeutic programs and participate in quality improvement activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

This is an opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcome for our patients. We require candidates who have experience delivering evidence-based group programs, particularly contemporary psychosocial interventions relating to Drug and Alcohol.

Candidates must also be able to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and have the ability to apply their skills to address complex healthcare needs while broadening their treatment capabilities to maximise patient outcomes.
