This is an exciting role working as part of our wind farm maintenance team at our Mumbida site in Geraldton, Western Australia.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance and breakdown repairs on wind turbines, with occasional travel to other sites across Australia.
To succeed in this role, you will require experience as a wind farm technician or a related field, along with a strong understanding of electrical systems and mechanical aptitude.
You should have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
We are seeking someone who is passionate about renewable energy and has a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Our team performs planned preventative maintenance routines and makes performance checks as required.
We repair, refurbish or replace defective plant equipment and perform corrective maintenance activities as required to restore plant and equipment performance.
Our team operates and / or assists with the operation of all assigned plants.
We document all activities, readings taken, materials and time used to input information into the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
We ensure adherence to Quality Assurance requirements by performing technical procedures, inspections, and test plans.
We respond to afterhours call out in accordance with the Standby/call out roster.
We provide support to other wind farm sites as required.
We participate in appropriate training both formally and informally (by passing on own expertise) as required.
We travel across sites and locations to support maintenance across different platforms and locations as required.
Accredited Electrical Trade Qualification.
Global Wind Organisation certification (GWO). Heights rescue desirable.
Preferable Wind Turbine Experience/Accreditation highly regarded but not essential.
Current Driver's License.
High Voltage Switching experience and qualification desirable.
Extensive work experience in the heavy industry sector desirable.
Fundamental understanding of asset management principles desirable.
