Role Responsibilities

Key Duties:
- Deliver high-quality, family-centered Speech Pathology assessments, interventions, and support for children facing developmental challenges or disabilities.
- Prepare professional documentation for interventions and support.
- Offer timely consultancy to team members, families, and external agencies.
- Engage with families and stakeholders regarding the child's objectives and the role of Speech Pathology in achieving these goals.
- Complete necessary paperwork for funding bodies promptly.
- Collaborate with clients, families, group homes, educational institutions, and interdisciplinary health teams, focusing on person-centered practices that respect individual needs and aspirations.
- Maintain high clinical standards through ongoing education and skill enhancement.
- Stay informed about professional knowledge and procedures required by funding organizations.
- Meet billable service targets.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking individuals who can work autonomously while also thriving in a collaborative environment. Ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills, a professional demeanor, and a commitment to evidence-based practices. While time management and organizational skills will develop with experience, those who can demonstrate these abilities will stand out.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology (or equivalent)
- CPSP status with Speech Pathology Australia (both provisional and full status accepted)
- Completion certificate for NDIS Worker Orientation module
- Eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- Current Working with Children check
- NDIS worker screening clearance
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for home, center, and school visits
- Current first aid certification (including CPR)
