About the Role

This is a senior leadership position at St Margaret's Anglican Girls School, focusing on the strategic and operational management of the co-curricular sport program across Years 7 – 12. The ideal candidate will be able to clearly demonstrate relevant qualifications and a strong background in sports management, as well as previous experience managing and developing coaches and/or other staff.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the future planning and development of the secondary school sport program with a dynamic student-centred vision, managing interschool and intraschool sport programs, club sports, interhouse carnivals, and supplementary competitions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Development: Lead the future planning and development of the secondary school sport program with a dynamic student-centred vision.
  • Sport Program Management: Manage interschool and intraschool sport programs, club sports, interhouse carnivals, and supplementary competitions.
  • Culture and Participation: Promote a culture which encourages high levels of participation by students and implement programs that enable individuals and teams to progress from participation to achieving their personal best.
  • Resource Optimisation: Optimise resources and ensure a high level of risk management and safety across the program.
  • Staff Management: Effectively manage all staff and volunteers within the sport and activities program.

About You

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, including well-developed time management and organisation skills. They will also have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly build positive working relationships with students, staff, parents, and external bodies. A valid blue card is required prior to commencing employment.
