Job Overview:

As a key member of our operations team, the Process Engineer plays a pivotal role in driving efficiency and commercialization of products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise to support departments in process issues
  • Develop and implement CI and LEAN knowledge amongst senior leaders and shop floor employees
  • Lead FI (Focused Improvement) TPM Pillar streams of work
  • Conduct data analysis to identify current gaps and opportunities for improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive implementation of cost improvement, energy saving, waste reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Facilitate the link between R&D and manufacturing to ensure new products are aligned with process capability
  • Engage in new equipment concepts and installations to understand capability and ensure suitability
  • Drive standardization of processes and implementation of metrics and best practices
  • Apply sound knowledge of batch and continuous processing systems to optimize process capability, throughput, and compliance.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial preferred
  • Food Science or extensive applicable trade experience in FMCG environment with a minimum of two years of relevant production/engineering experience
  • Sound working knowledge of plant operations, packaging and processing equipment and engineering
  • Experience in TPM/LEAN
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization
  • A passion for continuous improvement and developing people
