Job Title: Maritime Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Maritime Structural Engineer to join our team in Sydney, Newcastle, or Brisbane. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will contribute significantly to our business growth by expanding our client base and overseeing the execution of compelling projects across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute detailed engineering projects in maritime sectors, ensuring projects meet timelines and budgets.
  • Manage small to medium-sized projects in adherence to QHSE systems, fostering a culture of safety and quality.
  • Develop commercial, technical, and financial proposals for engineering ventures, leveraging your expertise to drive business growth.
  • Plan and schedule project resources effectively to meet deadlines, prioritizing client satisfaction and relationship building.
  • Conduct preliminary studies, create a basis of Design and specification documents, and progress designs from concept to detailed phases, collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality results.
  • Support senior team members and mentor junior engineers in technical tasks and professional growth, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and innovation.
  • Contribute to business development by engaging with clients, preparing capability statements, and marketing materials, highlighting the value of our services.
  • Review engineering outputs, both internal and external as required, ensuring compliance with industry guidelines and specifications.
  • Conduct site visits and travel as necessary, maintaining a strong understanding of industry trends and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent), with a strong foundation in maritime engineering principles.
  • Excellent proficiency in English language, with the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.
  • Experience in digital engineering or coding, with a strong understanding of industry software and tools.
  • 5 to 10 years' consulting experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects and driving business growth.
  • Proficiency in writing proposals and managing small to medium projects, with a strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
