About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our specialist timber team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and manage medium-sized projects in the Australian market
  • Develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective clients
  • Use technical expertise to deliver smart, innovative, and efficient engineering solutions
  • Lead and manage a small team, mentoring team members as needed
  • Manage projects autonomously with guidance from senior management
Requirements
  • Australian tertiary engineering qualification
  • 6-9 years of local experience in structural engineering design
  • Membership with Engineers Australia, with CPEng / NER registration desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in prestressed concrete, steel design, and reinforced concrete
  • Ideal experience in designing mass timber structures, with training provided for the right candidate
  • Experience in a consulting engineering office, including a range of project types and sizes
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial, residential, government, and/or public buildings and retail
  • Knowledge and understanding of Australian regulatory requirements and design standards
  • Ability to communicate well with senior management, clients, and relevant authorities
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
  • Experience in ETABS, RAM Concept, Spacegass, RFEM, and RAPT or similar programs
