About the Role

The Director of Service Operations is a key leader in the Caroline County Department of Social Services. They oversee the Child Welfare and Adult Service Units, directing five Program Managers, a Social Worker II, and a Family Services Caseworker II.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive strategic plans for service programs operated by the Caroline County Department of Social Services and the Caroline County Children's Advocacy Center.
  • Establish policies, procedures, goals, and standards for all programs, ensuring continuous evaluation of their effectiveness.
  • Foster effective utilization, appropriation, and management of fiscal resources for the Division.
  • Supervise the Division's five Program Managers responsible for service delivery in all Child Welfare and Adult Service Programs.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited college or university.
  • Three years of child welfare experience, three years of supervisory experience, and two years of program and project management experience.
