Accounting Professional

We are seeking a highly motivated accounting professional to join our collaborative team and work closely with senior leadership. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident professional who thrives in a growing business and enjoys working autonomously and proactively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly management financial statements across the group
  • Manage month-end reporting, including budget vs actuals, loan accounts, and cash flow forecasting
  • Handle BAS, PAYG, and all statutory reporting requirements
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and account reconciliations
  • Process monthly payroll
  • Assist external auditors and tax consultants with year-end financials and tax returns
  • Support group-wide cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting activities
  • Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and systems
  • Maintain various financial and statutory registers across entities
  • Oversee and mentor a junior finance team member
  • Collaborate with project teams to provide timely and accurate project financial reporting
Requirements
  • 3-4 years' experience in public practice (e.g. business services or audit)
  • CA or CPA qualified (or near completion)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset
  • A genuine interest in the property, construction, or development sector
  • Experience in Xero or similar cloud-based accounting platforms is advantageous
