Speech Pathologist Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Speech Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in speech pathology and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting children with literacy, speech and language disorders, social skills development, mealtime management and AAC assessment and prescriptions. They will also manage a varied caseload as a NDIS registered provider.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children with complex communication needs through the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Conduct assessments and provide recommendations for AAC devices and strategies to support children's communication needs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support children's literacy, speech and language development.
  • Provide guidance and support to families and caregivers on how to support their child's communication needs.
Requirements
  • Registration as a Speech Pathologist with the relevant professional body.
  • Relevant qualifications in Speech Pathology.
  • Experience working with children with complex communication needs.
  • Strong knowledge of AAC systems and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
