Child Protection Psychologist RoleWe are seeking a skilled Child Protection Psychologist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to make a real difference in the lives of children and families.
  1. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering forensic psychosocial assessments to support child protection, identifying risk factors and therapeutic needs.
  2. They will also undertake psychological assessments of children, adolescents, and adults using standardized tools, and prepare high-quality reports suitable for use in all Court Jurisdictions.
  3. In addition, the successful candidate will deliver evidence-based therapies to children and families, aiding recovery and preventing further harm.
About You
  • You will have an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification, and be registered with the Psychology Board of Australia within an Endorsed Area of Practice: Clinical.
  • You will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly, resolve conflicts, and collaborate effectively with diverse professionals.
  • Proven expertise in conducting comprehensive clinical assessments and producing high-quality reports is essential.
  • You will have experience working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating flexibility across assessment, therapy, and urgent intervention roles.
  • Experience providing direct psychological services to children, adolescents, and their families affected by trauma is highly valued.
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in the field of child protection and/or child and family mental health is preferred.
