**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our team as a Financial Professional. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing expert tax and compliance advice to our clients.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • **Tax Compliance and Planning**
    • Prepare tax returns for consolidated group entities and liaise with external tax advisors on compliance matters.
    • Assist with the lodgement of BAS, GST, FBT, and PAYG requirements.
    • Oversee long-term tax planning, including Div 7A, franking credits, dividends, and distributions, and manage relationships with external advisors and the ATO.
    • Maintain the fixed asset register and perform depreciation calculations.
  • **Financial Reporting and Analysis**
    • Prepare monthly company financial reports, including budget variance analysis commentaries.
    • Prepare annual statutory financial reports, coordinate the year-end audit process, and liaise with auditors.
    • Conduct month-end balance sheet reconciliations, supporting work papers, and ensure financial account accuracy.

**Requirements**

  • A tertiary qualification in Accounting, or related field, with CA, CPA (completed or near completion).
  • 3+ years experience in Private Tax or Audit within a professional services firm or a large private group.
  • Strong technical knowledge in tax compliance reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders.
