Job Title: PD/H/PE Teacher

About the Role:

The Corpus Christi Catholic High School is seeking a qualified and experienced PD/H/PE Teacher to join our team. As a PD/H/PE Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Physical Education and Health to students in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective PD/H/PE lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Create a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes student participation and engagement.
  • Use a range of assessment strategies to inform student learning and progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching and learning programs.

Essential Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
  • Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
  • Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
  • Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in PD/H/PE.
  • Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
  • Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.

General Capabilities:

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Qualifications:

  • Appropriate qualifications for teaching nominated Key Learning Area (s).
  • Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
  • The applicant must be registered to teach with NESA.

Working with Children Clearance:

This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.
