Role Overview

Campaign

The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development leads sustainable regional development, agriculture, aquaculture, food, and fisheries sectors in Western Australia. The department's approach aims to protect, grow, and innovate the state's economy, community, and environment.

These positions are assigned to a statutory authority of the Western Australian State Government, functioning under the provisions of the Regional Development Commissions Act.

Regional coordination and promotion are key strategies to maximise prosperity and wellbeing in the Mid West region. This involves providing a regional link between government policy and planning and regional aspirations and needs.

About the Opportunities:

There are three permanent full-time positions available for immediate filling.

Roles:

  • Senior Executive Assistant Level 4
  • Regional Development Officer Level 5
  • Local Content Adviser Level 6

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  1. Senior Executive Assistant: Provide professional secretarial and executive support services to the CEO and Board. Manage schedules, meetings, travel, finances, correspondence, and stakeholder relations, while contributing to projects, policy development, and efficient office operations.
  2. Regional Development Officer: Support regional development by conducting research and analysis, managing strategic projects, coordinating funding and stakeholder engagement, and promoting investment and employment growth across the region.
  3. Local Content Adviser: Promote local suppliers, contractors, and jobseekers in the region by connecting with government, industry, businesses, Aboriginal Corporations, and employment and training stakeholders.
