The RoleWe are seeking an experienced paediatric physiotherapist to join our state-of-the-art clinic in Lane Cove. As a physiotherapist at NAPA Centre, you will work with a diverse range of children with varying levels of ability and need. You will be responsible for providing skillful intervention to infants, toddlers, children, and adolescents with a range of disorders that affect motor and behavioural skills.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualised intensive therapy programs for children with neurological disorders
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to advance client needs
- Provide skillful intervention to infants, toddlers, children, and adolescents with a range of disorders
- Document client progress and maintain accurate records
- Participate in professional development and training to stay up-to-date with best practice
- Minimum qualifications include completion of at least a Bachelor of Applied Science or Physiotherapy degree from an accredited University
- Strong clinical experience - at least 2 years post-graduate physiotherapy experience preferred, preferably in a paediatric setting with exposure to children with disabilities
- Current registration with AHPRA, Working with Children Check, and NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Good physical health and fitness and the ability to lift up to 22 kg, extended periods of standing and/or sitting on the floor
- Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with clients and other medical professionals
- Display a level of professional empathy towards clients and the ability to develop rapport
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with clients and their families
- Team player that can demonstrate the values for working as part of a multidisciplinary team to advance client needs
