About the Role:

Our books keep growing and we so we are looking for an experienced paediatric physiotherapist to join our state of the art clinic  in Lane Cove (no home visits or weekends.) At NAPA we provide our customers with intensive three-week programs as well as weekl sessions. We utilise highly innovate and evidence based therapy methods & technology, from all around the globe, which is supported by a typical weekly physiotherapy session. We use a range of diverse techniques both traditional and non-traditional therapies (all evidence based) in a multi disciplinary intensive program including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, developmental feeding services, NeuroSuit Therapy, CME/Medek therapy, DMI therapy, Vital Stim and SpiderCage therapy, all under one roof. Our programs are individually tailored to incorporate each child's specific needs. This position requires you to be a qualified AHPRA registered therapist with an interest and preferably recent experience working with children with neurological disorders. 

Caseload:

Physiotherapists at NAPA provide skillful intervention to infants, toddlers, children and adolescences with a range or disorders (varied and some rare) those which affect the development of motor and behavioural skills. In a 38 hours week there will be a maximum of 30m treating hours with documentation, PD and meetings time built into your working day. We also have an administration team to manage the booking and cancelations allowing you to focus on what you love. 

About the successful Candidate

  • Minimum qualifications include completion of at least a Bachelor of Applied Science or Physiotherapy degree, from an accredited University.
  • Strong Clinical experience - at least 2 years post graduate physiotherapy experience preferred, preferably in a paediatric setting with exposure to children with disabilities.
  • Current registration with AHPRA, Working with Children Check, & NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Good Physical health and fitness and the ability to lift up to 22 kg, extended periods of standing and/or sitting on the floor.  
  • Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with clients and other medical professionals.
  • Display a level of professional empathy towards clients and the ability to develop rapport.
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with clients and their families. 
  • Team player that can demonstrate the values for working as part of multi-disciplinary team to advance a client’s needs.
  • Ability to travel for periods of time for training/treating may be required.
