We are seeking a Senior Project Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the development and upkeep of policy and administrative instruments to ensure consistency with legal and custodial obligations.

The successful candidate will participate in a multi-disciplinary team to develop, implement, provide advice on and continuously improve strategies and systems, policies and procedures for invasive species management and its application across the estate.

This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your skills and experience in invasive species management or policy writing to contribute to the conservation of native species and ecosystems.

">Key Responsibilities:">
  • ">
  • Assist in the development and upkeep of policy and administrative instruments;">
  • Participate in a multi-disciplinary team to develop, implement, provide advice on and continuously improve strategies and systems, policies and procedures for invasive species management;">
  • Research, analyse and review data and systems to assess the efficacy of the pest program and compliance with standards of governance legislation and policy;">
  • Prepare correspondence and reports;">
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders;">
  • Provide advice to ensure good project design, implementation and timely reporting;">
  • Mentor operational staff as required to build capability in invasive species management across the agency;">
  • Prepare operational procedures for use by staff;">
