Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end program management of initiatives designed to continually progress for learning improvements
  • Monitor and report on project performance indicators to ensure initiatives are delivered against business targets, and provide valuable insights for continuous improvement
  • Identify opportunities for systems/process enhancements and partners closely with site L&D to develop and deliver fit for purpose solutions that drive standardization across sites
  • Implement and monitor process specific metrics to ensure quality standards are adhered to and measure the effectiveness of learning programs and initiatives
  • Proactively identify, coordinate and lead improvement in learning solutions and relevant initiatives / technology to drive standardisation across sites
  • Leverages complex data to creates reports and presentations to aid in proposing new strategies for successful learning improvements
  • Provide day to day support to L&D Superintendents, ensuring processes reflect the requirements of our learning governance models

About You

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your colleagues
  • Awareness of the Rio Tinto operations and knowledge of mining industry relating to its unique current and future learning needs is preferable
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to influence and adapt communication style to various audience level, including engaging senior leaders
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering major business improvement programs of work (Six Sigma / Lean skills / project management)
  • Strong proficiency project management of multiple initiatives
  • Ability to simplify and articulate a complex problem through multiple verbal and visual presentation techniques
  • Natural coaching ability to support key stakeholder groups such as L&D Superintendents, HRBPs and Operational Excellence Managers
  • Experience in monitoring and reporting on program performance
  • Curious mindset and ability to challenge pre-established conceptions held about learning and development processes
  • Qualifications and / or equivalent industry experience in Human Resources and/or Learning
