Project Coordinator, Audit and Assurance Specialist

About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Project Coordinator, Audit and Assurance to join our Infrastructure Planning and Capital Delivery Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating external and internal project governance and assurance requirements across our program and project delivery portfolio.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading project audit and assurance activities and reporting to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Investigating and supporting lessons learned implementation to contribute to best practice and continuous improvement.
- Developing and implementing a robust project assurance strategy and program that aligns with organisational goals and project risk profiles.
- Facilitating external project audits, reviews, and investigations within our program and project delivery portfolio.
- Identifying continuous improvement opportunities across all IPCD projects and coordinating business improvement activities.
- Leading Benefits Management workshops for IPCD projects.
- Providing specialist skills and knowledge in the development, review, and implementation of training and induction material, policies, and procedures relevant to infrastructure planning and capital delivery projects.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in quality assurance, risk, business studies, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in audit, assurance, quality management, or a related field.
- Experience in written and oral communication with a range of stakeholders, including executives, boards, and government.
- Experience in leading, mentoring, developing staff, and motivating project support teams.
- Experience in developing, reviewing, documenting, and implementing processes and procedures.
- Experience in coordination and administrative activities in a fast-paced and structured work environment.
- Sound knowledge and/or experience of the principles and processes involved in managing the successful delivery of infrastructure projects.
- Sound knowledge of contract management, quality assurance, environmental management, and workplace health and safety management related to infrastructure projects.
This is a fixed-term contract until 26th June 2026, with a salary range of $118,579 – $129,013 (dependent on experience) plus 12.75% superannuation.
