We are seeking an exceptional academic with a passion for teaching and research to join our team as a Senior Lecturer/Senior Indigenous Studies at UNSW Australia.
About the RoleThis role will play a key part in the development of educational excellence in Indigenous Studies, undertaking and leading academic and research activities nationally and internationally. You will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality teaching programs, conducting research projects, and contributing to the growth and success of our Indigenous Studies program.
Key Responsibilities- Teach and assess students in postgraduate and undergraduate courses in line with UNSW policy.
- Design and develop learning activities, resources, and assessments using a range of suitable approaches and learning environments.
- Manage course administration, including academic quality assurance.
- Conduct research/scholarly activities under limited supervision, either independently or as a member of a team.
- Make a positive contribution to Nura Gili meetings and seminars, representing the program's priorities.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A postgraduate qualification in a related discipline and/or relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in teaching and learning design, development, and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
- Proven commitment to proactively keeping up-to-date with discipline knowledge and developments.
- Demonstrated ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and promote student equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
- A strong track record in research with outcomes of high quality and impact.
