Academic Lecturer in Aboriginal Studies

The University of South Australia is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Academic Lecturer in Aboriginal Studies to join our team. As a key member of our Academic Unit, you will be responsible for developing, teaching, and coordinating Aboriginal Studies courses within our undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
You will contribute to the Academic Unit's research agenda, independently and as part of a team, to support our teaching and research outcomes. Your expertise in Aboriginal Studies will enable you to build and maintain connections with local Aboriginal communities, including Elders, and community organisations.
We are looking for someone with a demonstrated understanding of the issues impacting on the provision of services to and workforce considerations for Aboriginal communities. You will have a tertiary qualification or relevant industry/discipline experience in Aboriginal Studies, as well as demonstrated expertise, knowledge, and a commitment to the contemporary practice of Aboriginal Studies.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning, reviewing, and managing resources to facilitate the Academic Unit's teaching activities. You will also contribute to the development of a research and scholarly track record, independently and/or as a member of a team, which results in quality publications in relevant academic journals, and the presentation of conference papers and seminars.
