Regulatory Breach Manager

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our Risk and Compliance team. This role can be based anywhere in Australia.

This is a hybrid position that requires working at least three days a week in the office.

  • Support compliance frameworks, policies, tools, systems and processes for effective risk management.
  • Provide expert advisory services on regulatory requirements, particularly in respect of superannuation, investments, financial advice, administration, insurance and AML/CTF incidents.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of compliance incidents to support regulatory breach assessment processes.
  • Present assessments to relevant stakeholders as required.
  • Assist in governance forums including preparation of supporting documentation, minutes and reports.
  • Provide compliance insights, themes and trends to key stakeholders.
  • Prepare reporting to regulators in respect of investigations, breaches and responding to regulatory requests.

Key Requirements:

  • Experienced compliance or legal professional with exposure in regulatory compliance within the Australian financial services industry preferred.
  • Experience working in or providing services to a regulated financial services organisation with a strong understanding of regulatory obligations.
  • Ability to rapidly analyse and communicate complex matters commercially.
  • Strategic advice provision to senior stakeholders on compliance incidents.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of risk management systems and processes particularly in respect of incident and breach reporting.
