Job Description

Join our team as a Cyber Security Engineer and work on a high-profile defence program under the Chief Security Architect.

This fast-paced role offers a unique opportunity to develop your technical skills under the guidance of experienced leaders.

You'll be responsible for deploying, configuring, and sustaining a set of cyber security products and technologies, including Host Based Security Products, SIEM, Network IPS, and related management solutions.

A core focus of the team is the ongoing deployment and maintenance of Application Whitelisting across a complex environment, as well as the automation of existing security processes.

As an engineer in the broader team, your expertise in security technologies and processes will see you mentoring and advising a 24/7 team of SOC Analysts who rely on the toolsets you provide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy, configure, and sustain cyber security products and technologies
  • Develop and maintain Application Whitelisting solutions
  • Automate existing security processes
  • Mentor and advise SOC Analysts
Requirements

You'll need to be a seasoned Cyber Security Engineer with at least three years of experience in cyber products and technologies, and a proven track record of resolving complex technical issues.

Experience in a complex enterprise environment is desirable, and your professional memberships and certifications (e.g. SANS, ISACA, Offensive Security) will be important.

Experience working in Linux/Wintel and/or network disciplines will be beneficial in this role.

Coupled with your education and practical experience, you'll demonstrate a 'can-do' approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously and contribute as a valued team member.
