**Gardener Role**Merivale's growing portfolio of venues across Sydney & surrounds requires the skills and passion for gardening to bring your talent into a unique position.

We are looking for some new Gardeners to join our horticultural team in various roles. This truly is an exciting opportunity, utilising your passion and skills in plants within a fun, energetic working environment.

  • Proactively maintaining all onsite plants in a variety of growing situations, including the care and upkeep of indoor plants, container plantings, courtyard/balcony/rooftop gardens and established planter beds.
  • Watering, fertilizing, pruning, potting, and mulching, as well as pest control including the application of pesticides.
  • Work autonomously and as part of a team and deliver on the vision for the Horticultural aspect of Merivale's venue portfolio.

Ideal candidates have:

  • 1-3+ years of experience in the horticulture industry required depending on the role applying for
  • Trade certification in horticulture highly advantageous
  • Current chemical application accreditation
  • Full driver's license and confidence driving across multiple Sydney locations and operation of Long Wheelbase van

The ideal candidate is truly passionate about plants and gardening, has a keen eye for design/visual styling, prepared for heavy lifting and manual labor and comfortable working at heights with harness work involved.
