Job Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Surgical & Endoscopy Access Unit in Tasmania.


  • Deliver high-quality nursing care in partnership with patients, families and other health professionals.
  • Coordinate patient elective surgery and endoscopy care pathways in collaboration with designated specialty units.
  • Adhere to policies, protocols and procedures developed by the Department of Health and Anaesthesia Services.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • High level knowledge and experience in acute surgical nursing.
  • Advanced communication skills to effectively communicate, negotiate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, patients and families.
  • Patient-focused approach delivering prompt, efficient and personalized service while meeting quality outputs.

Preferred Qualifications and Recruitment Details:

  • Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing Board of Australia.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications (or progression towards them) are desirable.
