Key Responsibilities

This role oversees operational functions critical to the growth and efficiency of the organisation.

The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of services, including rostering support workers, timesheet reconciliation, invoicing, HR compliance, business process optimization, and accreditation.

Operational Support

The Operations Manager will oversee operational support for multiple locations, ensuring the effective integration of systems and processes.

Service Delivery

The Operations Manager is responsible for managing service delivery, ensuring that all services are provided in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.

Business Process Analysis and Optimization

The Operations Manager will conduct regular business process analysis to identify areas for improvement, and lead efforts to re-engineer processes to optimise operations and improve overall service delivery.

System Management and Transition

The Operations Manager will oversee the migration of participants onto a new participant management system, ensuring smooth data migration and participant tracking.

Skill Requirements

  • Experience: Proven experience in operational management, preferably in the healthcare sector, with a focus on rostering, invoicing, and HR compliance.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant systems.
  • Business Process Expertise: Strong skills in business process analysis and re-engineering to optimise operations.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Solid understanding of HR compliance, industry standards related to supported care services, and NDIS regulations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify operational challenges and develop effective solutions to address them.

Qualifications

A Bachelor of Business, Commerce or Accounting is required. Previous experience in managing operations in a similar role is highly desirable.

  • Analytic Skills: Ability to analyse complex data and make informed decisions to drive operational improvements.
  • NDIS Legislation and Operational Requirements: In-depth knowledge of NDIS regulations, operational standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Australian Accounting Processes: Strong understanding of Australian accounting principles and processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Business Process Analysis and Systems Integration: Expertise in evaluating and re-engineering business processes and integrating systems to improve efficiency and service delivery.

Relationships and Stakeholders

  • Internal: Collaborate closely with leadership teams, COO, and support worker teams.
  • External: Liaise with clients, families, the NDIS, and other external service providers to ensure high-quality care and compliance.
