Be a Friend to an Elderly Person

Making a positive impact in the life of an older person by visiting them regularly and fostering friendship.

  • Visit an elderly person residing in a care home in Carnegie, Melbourne
  • Engage in conversations, take a stroll, enjoy a cuppa, listen to music or play a board game
  • Pledge to visit weekly or fortnightly for a minimum period of 6 months/ongoing

Effective communication skills in Greek are necessary; however, volunteers with other languages who are willing to be matched with the same language are welcome to inquire.

We believe in a personalized approach and strive to match volunteers with someone local who shares similar interests and hobbies.

This is a volunteer opportunity that offers personal satisfaction, not a paid position.
