About the Opportunity

As a Research Associate in Environmental Engineering, you will contribute to maintaining and developing scholarly research and professional activities through defined projects.

  • Maintain and develop scholarly research and professional activities through defined projects, leveraging your expertise in air quality and treatment, water quality and management, chemical and sensory odorant analysis, data science including bioinformatics and/or machine learning.
  • Collaborate with industry stakeholders; engage with practitioners in Australian water and resource industries, building relationships across disciplines.
  • Publish and present at conferences; build a strong publication track record and advance your career as a researcher.
  • Contribute to teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level; develop and refine your teaching practice as needed.

Key Qualifications and Experience

A PhD in Environmental Engineering and relevant work experience are required. You should have knowledge in air quality and treatment, water quality and management, chemical and sensory odorant analysis, data science including bioinformatics and/or machine learning. Additionally, you must be able to work with practitioners in Australian water and resource industries, conduct independent and applied research, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders and students.
