Finance Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced finance professional to join our team as a Financial Controller. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated individual who wants to take on new challenges and contribute to the success of our organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, mentoring and developing the transactional finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

  • Lead month-end close, variance analysis, cashflow forecasting and preparation of board packs
  • Oversee AR, AP, bank reconciliations and payroll, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements
  • Maintain the integrity of financial data within the ERP system and update customer, supplier and product records
  • Review and lodge BAS, maintain insurance compliance and support debtor insurance risk management
  • Support the Finance Director with external audits, preparing audit schedules, and addressing audit queries
  • Partner with key stakeholders across the group to support P&L understanding and business goal setting
  • Produce and update internal accounting papers in line with IAS/AASB standards, ensuring team compliance
  • Identify and drive adoption of innovative financial practices and technology to improve reporting, analysis and efficiency

Requirements:

  • CPA or CA qualified, with 3-5 years in a similar Financial Controller or Senior Finance role
  • Strong technical accounting skills, with excellent knowledge of reporting standards and regulations
  • Skilled in analysis, with the ability to work confidently across new systems and large data sets
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and comfortable navigating accounting software (Apparel21 experience highly regarded)
  • A proactive leader who loves mentoring teams, improving processes, and driving innovation
  • A confident communicator who enjoys building relationships across all levels of the business
