About the Role
Relationships Australia Victoria is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Counsellor Couple, Family and Child Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, culturally sensitive relationship counselling and therapy to individuals, couples, and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver relationship counselling and therapy services to individuals, couples, and families, including education programs as required.
- Apply your skills and expertise in childhood development and family dynamics to respond to a diverse range of issues, including trauma, violence and abuse, parenting concerns, relational issues, stress and anxiety, separation and divorce, and blended families.
- Work collaboratively with Centre Manager to develop and implement effective strategies to meet the needs of our clients.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs for staff and community members.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of service delivery.
Requirements
- Degree qualified in family therapy, social work, counselling, or psychology.
- Previous supervised professional experience in relationship and couple counselling and family violence.
- Demonstrated application of therapeutic modalities relevant to working with individuals, couples, and families.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately assess for family violence and work with individuals and couples where family violence is present.
- Understanding and ability to practically apply relevant legislative regulations.
