Role Overview

This position is ideal for an aspiring actuary who is willing to take ownership of their work, and be a point of contact for all actuarial matters relating to the personal lines portfolio.

The role involves working closely with the International Personal Lines Management team and providing meaningful, insightful, and timely actuarial advice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed analytics and prepare analysis for pricing, portfolio monitoring, and reserve reviews of key International Personal Lines portfolios.
  • Conduct analysis and modelling to contribute to the annual business plan loss ratios.
  • Develop and streamline data and information management dashboards.
  • Provide strategic pricing recommendations and insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement best practice pricing models incorporating claims, quote conversion, customer retention, and pricing scenarios.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to manage competing projects and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication of actuarial analysis and concepts to a non-actuarial audience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, SAS, SQL, R, Python, and a preference for Emblem/Radar.
  • Exceptional GLM/GBM and ML experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Local GI actuarial experience.
  • Keen interest in natural perils and climate research.
