Key Role in Actuarial Modeling

The system actuary specialist plays a key role in designing, building and implementing actuarial projection models using data analysis and statistical techniques.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement complex actuarial projection models utilizing advanced data analysis and statistical methodologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and review technical specifications that meet user requirements and coding standards
  • Perform thorough testing activities (unit testing, regression testing) and deploy approved changes to production environments ensuring seamless integration
  • Analyze and specify detailed data requirements for model inputs and outputs driving business decisions
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of efficient data flow processes interacting with the IDR to meet reporting requirements
Requirements
  • Qualified Actuary or nearly qualified professional
  • Extensive experience working in the insurance industry with a strong understanding of actuarial principles
  • Deep knowledge and experience with Prophet and proficiency in programming and data analysis skills
  • Strong SQL and Microsoft Excel skills with ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets
  • Demonstrated capability to critically assess and validate complex outcomes
  • Effective communication skills with ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
