Education and Training Specialist

About the Role:

The successful applicant will develop and implement an education strategy to provide high-quality training and competency assessments across various departments. They will be an integral member of the clinical team, orientating and educating staff at the bedside, and supporting postgraduate students, novices, and graduate nurses in perioperative services.

About You:

To excel in this role, you must have:

  • A relevant AHPRA registration;
  • At least 3 years' experience as a Registered Nurse in Perioperative Services with a broad range of experience across nursing specialty desirable;
  • A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;
  • Advanced scrub scout nursing and education experience;
  • Previous experience in an education role advantageous;
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with excellent communication and negotiation abilities;
  • A positive role model with exceptional customer service skills;
  • Organised, efficient, and professional with highly developed clinical problem-solving skills and advanced assessment skills;
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team and independently where required;
  • Innovative and flexible approach to education delivery;
  • Proven knowledge of the Theatre specialty, scrub scout, and anaesthetics.
