Event Coordinator Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Event Coordinator to join our team and deliver exceptional event experiences for our clients.

About The Role
  • Manage client relationships, handle enquiries, and generate leads for events and charters to achieve sales targets
  • Maintain communication with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless event execution and repeat business opportunities
  • Source new business prospects and participate in regular team meetings for effective collaboration
  • Oversee dining bookings, prepayments, and guests' special requests to provide excellent customer service

This is a dynamic role focusing on events at Eureka 89, but will also involve private bookings across various venues within the Journey Beyond's Attractions and Dining division.

Key Requirements
  • A minimum of 12 months of experience in sales, events/event management, or FOH dining operations required
  • Strong interpersonal skills, professional written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and previous experience using reservations systems (e.g. IVvy, SevenRooms)
  • Excellent organisational skills, ability to work under pressure, manage multiple events, and adapt to changing priorities with tight deadlines
  • Strong budgeting skills and demonstrated experience meeting targets/KPIs
  • Excellent food & beverage knowledge
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol certification or willingness to obtain
  • Safe Food Handling Certificate or willingness to obtain

The successful candidate will possess a proactive mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and creative problem-solving skills.
