About the Role

This full-time position involves working on an initial 12-month contract with our Federal Government client. As a Lead Cultural Case Manager, you will be responsible for providing high-quality case management services to clients while upholding cultural sensitivity and respect.

About You
  • You hold a baseline security clearance or can obtain one.
  • You possess refined interpersonal skills and can contextualise your communication to suit your audience in a logical, empathetic, and effective manner using culturally appropriate language.
  • You have broad experience following good case management principles: client-centred, holistic, strengths-based, goal-oriented, flexible, collaborative, culturally and socially safe, evidence-informed, and respectful of applicants' rights to privacy while actively working to avoid re-traumatisation.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide detailed and constructive feedback to clients or stakeholders based on assessment findings.
  2. Maintain confidentiality and uphold high ethical standards in all assessments.
  3. Manage your own schedule to meet deadlines while ensuring quality assessments.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams or clients when required to clarify assessment criteria or process.
  5. Contribute to continuous improvement by providing insights or recommendations based on assessment outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated commitment to working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the impact of colonisation and forced removals on Indigenous social and emotional well-being.
  • Demonstrated high level of cultural capability or ability to develop understanding of the cultural context and impacts of past events, policies, and programs.
  • Proficiency in maintaining comprehensive case management records, ensuring application determination completeness, and reporting on progress.
  • Broad experience with historical records, including sensitive details that can be harmful or upsetting.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additional benefits may include opportunities for professional development and a dynamic work environment.
