Job Title:

Credit Assessment Specialist

Role Description:

  • Conduct thorough credit analysis and risk assessments on complex lending transactions.
  • Provide recommendations and comments on credit submissions to ensure approval by the relevant committees.
  • Regularly review credit proposals for new and existing loans, and manage portfolio restructuring and variations as required.
  • Monitor loan drawdown processes post-approval.
  • Engage in industry-focused research and provide insightful feedback to support business growth.
  • Liaise with and report to international teams to address inherent and residual risks according to the bank's policies and procedures.
  • Update and refine the bank's credit policy and procedures for its Australian operations.
  • Coordinate and assist with local regulatory reviews, audits, and headquarters reviews.
  • Prepare meeting and presentation materials for credit committees.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in credit risk management within commercial or corporate banking (international experience considered).
  • Strong knowledge of credit approval processes and analytical skills to critically evaluate company financials.
  • Familiarity with prudential standards and regulatory environments where foreign banks operate.
  • Tertiary degree in finance, commerce, accounting, business, or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Team player with effective communication skills and adaptability to the work culture.
  • Qualifications such as CFA, CPA, or FRM are advantageous but not essential.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Chinese Mandarin is a plus.
