Research Grants and Funding Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Research and Innovation Division as a Research Grants Officer.

About the Role

This is a full-time continuing appointment with a remuneration range of $115,122 to $127,298 per annum. The role will be based in either Toowoomba campus or Springfield campus.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in research grants management and administration, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. They will also possess high-level interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, as well as experience in managing multiple projects and prioritizing tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and support to researchers on grant applications and post-award administrative assistance;
  • Stay up-to-date with research grant schemes and conditions applicable to the higher education sector;
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Manage and coordinate the preparation and submission of grant applications;
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform grant strategy and policy development.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have a relevant qualification and/or equivalent combination of experience and training in research grants management and administration.

You will also need to demonstrate a strong understanding of the research grant schemes and conditions applicable to the higher education sector, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

A high level of attention to detail and excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills are essential for this role.
