Trade Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled Trade Specialist to join our Training team.

About the Job

  • This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday at Perth WAC Head Office.
  • You will coordinate and execute training and assessment in accordance with industry standards and site-specific plans.
  • Your responsibilities will include developing, monitoring, and maintaining proficiency in equipment operation to a high standard.
  • You will identify outdated or unsuitable content in training materials and report to the Training Supervisor.
  • Active participation in ongoing professional development activities is essential.
  • You will generate regular (weekly) training forecasts in consultation with supervision levels, training compliance reports, and other ad hoc reports and evaluations as requested.
  • Confidentiality of candidate/trainee information is crucial, disclosing data only with written consent or as required by law or regulations.
  • You will record accurate details of trainees and the units in which they have demonstrated competency.

About You

  • Cert IV Trainer Assessor is a must-have qualification.
  • Caterpillar product knowledge is an advantage.
  • Current Mobile Plant Mechanic certification is required.
  • You should have experience delivering AUR training package material.
  • Developing AUR training material is also essential.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills are necessary.
  • Excellent teamwork skills are a must.
  • You should possess strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Adaptability to learn and support new technologies is essential.
