Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of the masonry manufacturing process. They work closely with the Fixed Plant Production Operators, Shift Supervisors and Yard Staff to guarantee that all duties are completed safely and effectively.

This critical position requires a high level of leadership skills, strong communication abilities, and a deep understanding of machinery operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pre-Shift Checks: The Production Supervisor works with Shift Supervisors to conduct thorough pre-shift checks of machinery, identifying and addressing any potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Machinery Safety: This role ensures that production machinery and equipment are operated safely and responsibly, minimizing the risk of accidents or damage.
  • Operational Procedures: The Production Supervisor is responsible for understanding and implementing operational procedures, including isolation procedures, to ensure the safe operation of machinery and equipment.
  • Equipment Monitoring: This position involves monitoring equipment performance and stopping production if any mechanical or production problems occur.
  • Maintenance and Servicing: The Production Supervisor liaises with maintenance staff to ensure regular maintenance, servicing, and repairs are completed in a timely manner.
  • Quality Control: Overseeing quality control processes and minimizing waste are critical aspects of this role.
Requirements:
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated experience in a leadership position within a manufacturing or production facility is essential.
  • Paver Manufacturing Knowledge: Previous knowledge and experience in paver manufacturing are highly desirable.
  • Machinery Knowledge: A strong understanding of a range of machinery is required.
  • WHS Certificate: A Certificate IV in WHS (Highly Desirable)
  • WA High Risk Licence: A WA High Risk licence Class LF (Preferable) is also highly desirable.
  • Safety Leadership: Demonstrated safety leadership experience is crucial.
  • Communication and Leadership Skills: Strong communication and leadership skills, along with the ability to motivate a work team, are vital.
  • Awareness of Surroundings: Awareness of surroundings to identify changes in conditions is also essential.
