Training and Planning Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Training and Planning Specialist in a dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the training schedule for all drivers, ensuring deadlines are met and effective training is delivered.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the National Training Manager to develop individual training plans for new and existing employees.
- Implement a rolling training program for trainees and existing crew based on individual plans.
- Work closely with the Rail Rostering team to ensure rosters align with operational demands.
- Ensure compliance by scheduling trainees to attend training as per their individual plans.
- Manage end-to-end training delivery, ensuring all training is delivered as per the training plan and roster.
- Roster training delivery for driver trainers located across the rail business.
- Build strong working relationships with a dispersed team of driver trainers.
- Collaborate with registered training organisations to deliver required training.
- Highly skilled in rostering and long-term planning in an operational context.
- Awareness of the VET sector, Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), and RTO standards.
- Experience with a learning management system like aXcelerate.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proactive initiative and problem-solving abilities.
- Analytical mindset and sound decision-making skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders effectively.
- Previous experience in a registered training organisation is desirable.
- Rail operations background is preferable.
