We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Manager, First Nations Engagement. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building and maintaining positive relationships with First Nations communities, stakeholders, and organizations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Community Engagement: Develop and implement strategies for engaging with First Nations communities in a respectful and culturally sensitive manner.
  • Partnership Facilitation: Facilitate partnerships between our organization and Indigenous groups to promote mutual understanding and collaboration.
  • Event Coordination: Coordinate events, workshops, and initiatives that support reconciliation efforts.
  • Cultural Competency Training: Provide cultural competency training for staff members.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Indigenous studies, social work, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience working in a similar role.
  • Commitment: Demonstrated commitment to advancing reconciliation efforts.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of relevant legislation pertaining to Indigenous rights.
  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel occasionally for meetings or events.

Location: This is a full-time position based in Sydney, Australia. We encourage applications from individuals who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
