Job Description

We are looking for a skilled software engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing software for mobile products on the Apple iOS Development platform. They will be responsible for driving delivery and continuous product improvement, maintaining high standards of engineering excellence, and supporting their team members in building products together.

Your Impact

  • You will create software that is robust, high-quality, and scalable, with a focus on customer problems and technical excellence.
  • You will design and automate testing activities that effectively reveal product quality across a range of risk areas and acceptance criteria.
  • You will resolve development and production issues, quickly track down the root cause, and communicate the impact to stakeholders in terms of business value.
  • You will maintain knowledge of Xero's current and emerging engineering standards and practices, develop and deploy software that meets these standards, and ensure all software is running as expected.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • You will have a strong command of Xcode IDE, high coding standards, and an emphasis on testing.
  • You will have experience in developing software that is secure, performant, and scalable, and experience with agile methodologies.
  • You will have expertise in one or more programming languages and ecosystem-specific technologies, such as Swift, MVVM, and clean architecture patterns.
  • You will be able to implement resilient software design patterns and have an eye for detail and passion for good UI/UX.
