This role is based in the Wenco R&D Lab in Brisbane, Australia.We're seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our Safety product line team.
You'll provide technical expertise in developing and maintaining software solutions that bridge cloud services, web & mobile applications, and wearable technology.
You'll contribute to a sophisticated technology stack including distributed micro-services, web applications, cross-platform mobile development, and Bluetooth-enabled wearable integration.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement new features and systemsMaintaining and optimising backend performance and scalabilityParticipate in agile design and implementation activities, contribute to and support decisions on technology stack, design patterns, and architectural strategies.
Adhere to DevOps principles, advocate automation, CI/CD, and robust software architectures.Communicate technical information clearly and effectively with internal stakeholders including developers, product owners and solution architects.
Actively participates in Agile ceremonies.Participate in learning and improvement opportunities in the engineering team ( e.g. code reviews, engineering standards evolution ).
Actively pursues personal development to stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Participates in knowledge sharing, and professional development within the engineering team and across the R&D Organisation.The ExperienceMust have:You have 3+ years experience working as a software engineer.Software Application Development Experience using PythonExperience using Microsoft .
Net(C#), Typescript or Java consideredYou have experience designing and developing scalable and secure containerised applications using a micro-service architecture on a major cloud computing platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
