We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join our organization in Melbourne. Job Summary

This role is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, including month-end journals, variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and business partnering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, including month-end journals, variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and business partnering.
  • Helping stakeholders understand financial performance and contributing to informed decision-making.
  • Enhancing reporting processes and building capability within the finance team through continuous improvement and mentoring.
Requirements:
  1. Relevant experience in financial and/or management accounting, ideally within a complex or regulated industry.
  2. Proven ability to review P&L and variance reports with operational stakeholders.
  3. Excellent analytical and organisational skills, with strong attention to detail.
  4. Advanced Excel skill and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, and reporting tools.
  5. Strong time management skills with the ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
  6. Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders and present complex financial information clearly.
  7. Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and respond to dynamic business needs.
  8. Understanding of accounting standards and the ability to apply knowledge effectively in day-to-day responsibilities.
  9. Familiarity with aged care funding models (e.g. AN-ACC) and the financial implications of regulatory compliance is desirable, but not essential.
