Senior Financial Reporting Specialist

The Senior Financial Accountant is a critical position within the Finance Team, responsible for supporting key day-to-day accounting functions and responsibilities.
This role will provide assistance to the Manager, Financial Accounting through month-end processes, transactional accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and assisting in the completion of timely and accurate internal and external reporting.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the Month End close process, including completion of month-end Journals to ensure an accurate General Ledger and Asset Register.
- Month-end review and analysis of results including completion or review of KPI's balance Sheet and reconciliations.
- Maintain General Ledger and Asset Register
- Manage transactional accounting, supervise and mentor AP and AR accounts officers.
- Provide professional guidance and mentoring to junior staff within wider finance team
- Prepare the monthly financial accounts, internal and external financial performance reports for accountability and control purposes.
- Prepare annual statutory accounts and other external reporting such as surveys and regulatory requirements.
- Work with finance business partner team in preparation of the Operating and Capital expenditure budgeting and forecasting
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance and accounting and qualified CPA or CA member.
- Demonstrated skills and experience as a Senior Financial Accountant with the capacity to work autonomously and as a member of a team to deliver outcomes and solve problems.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a small team
- Experience in audit processes and compliance reporting will be highly regarded.
- Proficiency and extensive experience in using accounting system and software packages.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel. Experience with Magiq and Microsoft D365 Business Central will be highly regarded.
