About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Department of Customer Service as a Telecommunications Intelligence Analyst. As a key member of the Network Operations and Emergency Management Team, you will play a critical role in supporting decision-making processes at the tactical, operational, and strategic level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Telecommunications Emergency Management Unit by being available as part of an on-call roster to respond to actual and potential significant telecommunications service interruptions in NSW.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and integration of strategic and operational plans and report on progress and identify trends to enable the development of response plans.
  • Process information into actionable intelligence, including collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to produce timely and accurate assessments for decision-makers.
  • Monitor and assess information sources relevant to the intelligence function to identify potential trends or issues.
  • Collect, transform, maintain, and analyze corporate geospatial data.
  • Participate in and contribute to the undertaking of emergency operations, reviews, and debriefs, coordination forums, and operational exercises, which will include undertaking research and preparing procedures, situation reports, and briefings.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets and visualize data using tools like PowerBI/Tableau/Excel.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a similar role.
  • Self-motivated and detail-focused.
  • Able to work in a high-pressure environment with competing priorities.
  • Strong communicator and able to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong data management and information processing skills.
